Parents’ Club delivers lots of love right to students’ doors

Dear Stanford Parents:

The Parents’ Club has a proud tradition of serving as a home-away-from-home for Stanford students. Among the home touches we provide are cakes and cookies delivered right to student residence doors by Parents’ Club moms and dad who volunteer their time.

Parents' Club ghost cookies
The Parents’ Club delivered about 140 sets of cookies during Halloween to students’ doors.

I wanted you to know that the Parents’ Club delivered ghostly cookies to more than 140 of your children on Halloween. A team of 15 parents spread across campus, going dorm to dorm, delivering a little love from faraway on your behalf.

As I write this, we are in the midst of delivering a record number of chocolate chip cookies and brownies to students for finals.

If you’d like to order something for delivery to your student or join our mailing list so you’ll get reminders that it’s time to order a birthday cake or Valentine’s Day cheer, visit our website.

Better yet, come join us to deliver a touch of home to Stanford students. It’s great fun, especially when you see the look on students’ faces at the sweet reminder of home. Proceeds of everything we do go to the Parents’ Club scholarships for Stanford students. At this point, we provide scholarships to two students each year.

I hope, as well, that you are planning your visit to Stanford for Parents’ Weekend in February. Among our many activities, the Parents’ Club welcomes parents during check-in, introduces faculty lectures and sponsors the Entertainment Extravaganza, which features student performers.

We hope to see you there!

Best regards,
Marcia Hansen
