Spring 2009
The Parents’ Club of Stanford University, founded in 1924 as the Mothers’ Club, is a volunteer service organization of current and former Stanford parents. For 85 years, the club has served Stanford students and parents and supported the university as ambassadors at events. Net proceeds from club activities benefit its Endowed Scholarship Fund, which provides scholarships every year. Parents of current and former students are invited to join the club and participate in its activities.
Parents’ Weekend 2009
During Parents’ Weekend, the Parents’ Club hosted the Entertainment Extravaganza, a student show that featured JamPac’d, Mixed Company, Kayumanggi, Raagapella and Fleet Street Singers. The Parents’ Club thanks its volunteers, who also hosted Back-to-School classes, registered families and helped with the club’s sales. Thanks to Stanford Events and the Stanford Alumni Association for co-hosting the Parent Reception. Vice Provost Greg Boardman was among the administrators attending.

Scholarship recipient
This year the club awarded two full-tuition scholarships. The recipients were Jillesa Charmaine Gebhardt and David Sangokoya.
Future programs
Monthly club meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month at 10 a.m. at Tresidder Union. Programs follow the meeting. In April, join us for a “Decade of Collecting: Pop to the Present” tour at the Cantor Center. In May, historian Karen Offen will speak on “What is Women’s History About?” In May, we will be selling Mother’s Day cards in White Plaza. In June, we will host a luncheon to honor former presidents of the club.
Catalog and delivery services
To order cookbooks, purse hangers and other catalog items, or to order delivery of a cake, balloons or flowers for your student, visit the Parents' Club website or email us. For all sales, parents can pay by credit card on the website or by mailing an order form and check to the appropriate address.
